Dave La Fame’s entertainment career began in London, England as a young teenager, playing bass guitar and singing with various bands in schools and pubs.
In 1981 he was cast as “Kenicke” in a London stage production of the musical “Grease”. Leading and supporting roles followed in theatre productions of “Alfie”, “Entertaining Mr. Sloane”, “Straight-Up” and more.
In 1984 Dave moved to Canada. Since then, he has been seen doing everything from stand up comedy and acting in beer commercials, to singing “Oh Canada” at gala events, working as a ring announcer in professional boxing and pursuing his passion as a jazz crooner.
In 1998 Dave La Fame produced his self-titled one-man show featuring impersonations of music’s biggest stars. From Frank Sinatra & Elvis to all three Bee Gees & Freddie Mercury. In fact, over 200 different personalities!
As well, Dave now performs separately as a Tom Jones impersonator.
These shows combine for a very busy schedule that takes Dave all over Canada & the United States.
In his “spare time” Dave formed & performs with The Ocean’s Eleven Band. Featuring some of Toronto’s best session players. The play list features their own arrangements of popular jazz standards from the “Rat Pack” era blended with more contemporary songs.
